The votes are in…
March 30, 2004 on 1:00 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsI had 5 votes in the comments and 1 extra. As you can probably guess, the overwhelming vote was for the Myrtle Beach project. So, I pulled out the little dragons and they are all ready for the test to start tomorrow night! I’m working the 2 am to 2 pm shift (ugh why or why did I insist I can work 12 hour shifts!) for the next ten or so days. Can I just say… oh my god, we are going into tvac!
The Happenings at Knit Happens
March 29, 2004 on 1:00 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsYeah! I made it to both Knit Happens and the needlework show at Woodlawn yesterday (but had to stop by work first). Keeping in mind that this is only my 4th LNS I’ve ever been to… I think it is the best one! They owners were both super nice (both Kristine and Liz helped me and my friends) and they didn’t look at me like I didn’t belong. Maybe I liked it better because they matched my demographics better. So, what did I buy, you ask? I’ll get pictures later in the week when I’m actually home when there is daylight.I bought:
Yarn for DH’s sweater: Dale of Norway Sisik in Navy and aubergine
Yarn for my sweater: Elsebeth Lavold’s Silky wool in dawn rose
3 pairs of Brittany needles
Lana Grossa Meilenweit sock yarn (for my first pair of socks!)
and a package of the really cool beaded stitch markers that Knit Happens had on their blog a while back
Important Decision to be made…
March 27, 2004 on 1:00 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsI’ve decided to work on a Dragon Dream’s piece during the upcoming test. So, the important decision I need to make is… which one? Should I do the Myrtle Beach DD pieces from Feb, Fairytale Sampler, or Dragon’s Tea Party? Two of the three can be seen here. The Myrtle Beach piece came fully kitted, I have everything but the fabric for the Fairytale Sampler and plenty of stash to pick the fabric. For Dragon’s Tea Party, I only have the chart. So, help me decide! Leave a comment with your choice.
Quick post…
March 26, 2004 on 1:00 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsOkay, things are starting to really roll for the test starting next week. And I managed to find a way to get Sunday off! Yeah!
Err… I took a picture of my daffy-dils this morning. I have three blooming right now. The herd at the end of the drive way will probably be next week. Once I get home, I’ll get them off my camera and post them. And if I’m a bit of a fruit loop in the next couple of posts, feel free to laugh at me
Ugh…
March 24, 2004 on 1:00 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsYup, work is hectic and I had to postpone a doctor’s appointment (that I was scared about anyway) until next week which I hope I can make. I spent the morning running around. I have ten millon things to do before we go into test next week (for a 24/7 10 day long test!). But every time I turned around I was either getting phone calls or emails or people stopping by. AARGH! I got stuff I need to get finished. Granted almost all of these interruptions were about the test. The only ones that weren’t were the emails from DH
.So, I might be absent until the middle of April while preping for and running this test. And yes, this means no Knit Happens or Woodlawn for me this weekend
. I’m not fully ready for this test… I mean it is three weeks early! I don’t even have my test project picked out
