I’m off!
August 28, 2006 on 12:00 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsI’m headed to CA for business and won’t be back until Friday. I won’t have any internet access (that sucks on many levels), so I probably won’t post again until after Labor Day.
I’ve decided that I need a break from hedgehogs for a bit. I’ve knit on nothing but hedgehogs for more than a month. So, I’m starting a surprise gift for a friend. Details hopefully sometime next year…
Everyone have a sale and fun weekend!
What have I been up to?
August 24, 2006 on 12:00 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsWell I’ve been hanging out in something similar to this…

Okay, that is a Lego mockup up the area where I’ve been for the past week. I figure I can post pictures of Lego mockups but not the real thing. For those who need help.. the yellow thing going into the blue cylinder is a satellite.
And while I’ve been there I’ve done…

For the entire Hedgehogs for Humanity Family Albumn go here.
Sorry about the Outage…
August 15, 2006 on 12:00 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsIt was autorenewal time on the server and it seems that the billing people and the tech people have different databases. So, while the billing people said, yup everything is good for another year, the tech people shut us down. Bad tech people…
So, what has happened since last week when it went down? I’ve mailed out three hedgehogs, I have two drying and I’ll finish another tonight. That leaves only seven more to go! I’ve raised $540 in hedgehogs from my little fundraiser. *And* I have made my goal. So, as soon as the church check gets deposited we are buying our plane tickets (the travel agency has them on hold until then).
I went to Coolfont for our 3rd annual stitching retreat and started a new project, HAED’s QS Dragon Eye. I was able to finish 3 of the 8 columns on the first page.

And we found out that the activities planned during the two week H4H part of the NZ trip includes everything that I was planning, so it is back to the drawing board for the extra days. About all I now is that we are taking the coach tour still from Rotorua to Wellington.
So Exciting!
August 3, 2006 on 12:00 am | In Uncategorized | No CommentsMom and I are getting ready to buy our tickets to New Zealand. But before we can do that, we need to figure out what we will be doing after the Habitat part. I had estimated an extra three or four days to see more of North Island. After talking with my contact in Wellington who has given me loads of good advice, I think I have an itinerary. We will get a Flexi Pass and work our way from Auckland to Wellington via Waitomo and Rotorua primarily getting rides on the Newman sightseeing tours. And then we fly home.
You know re-reading that last paragraph, it really doesn’t express the excitment I’m feeling right now… how about this instead…

And the answer to my last post, according to DH, is to sacrifice the fencing to save the cucumber.
